For a long time, no one talked honestly about menopause. We heard whispers about hot flashes and mood swings, but no one really prepared us for the deeper changes—especially the ones that affect how we feel about our bodies and our sexuality.

I’m 52 now, and I’ve gone through menopause. And I’ll be honest… there was a period where I didn’t feel sexy anymore.

My body felt like it was failing me.

Things that used to come naturally—desire, moisture, confidence—suddenly changed. My hormones shifted, my body felt different, and intimacy with my partner wasn’t the same. It wasn’t that the love was gone, but my body wasn’t responding the way it used to.

And for a while, that really messed with my confidence as a woman.

When Your Body Changes, It Can Mess With Your Mind

No one prepares you for how menopause can affect your sense of identity.

You look in the mirror and think:

“Am I still attractive?”

“Is this just how it is now?”

“Is this part of my life over?”

For a while, I believed that story. I thought maybe this was just the phase where women fade into the background.

But the truth is, women don’t lose their sexuality with age. Sometimes we just need new support for our changing bodies.

Learning to Work With My Body Instead of Against It

Because wellness is such a big part of my life and my business, I started researching natural ways to support women going through the same changes I was experiencing.

That’s when I discovered products designed specifically for women in menopause.

One of the things that made a big difference for me personally was adding Juicy pills, which support vaginal moisture and overall feminine wellness from the inside out.

Menopause often lowers estrogen levels, and that can cause dryness and discomfort. For many women, that’s one of the biggest reasons intimacy changes. Supporting the body nutritionally can make a real difference.

I also discovered the power of a good lubricant. My husband and I started using Uber Lube, and it honestly helped bring comfort and ease back into our intimacy.

Sometimes the solution isn’t complicated—it’s just about supporting your body where it needs help.

Reclaiming Confidence After 50

The biggest shift for me wasn’t just physical. It was mental.

I realized something powerful: my sexuality didn’t disappear—my body just changed.

And when you learn to support those changes instead of fighting them, everything starts to feel possible again.

At this stage in life, many women are actually more confident than they’ve ever been. We know who we are. We’re not trying to impress anyone. We’re not performing for the world anymore.

We’re simply showing up as ourselves.

And that confidence is incredibly attractive.

Why I Talk About This Openly

One of the reasons I’m passionate about women’s wellness is because I know how many women are silently going through these changes and thinking they’re alone.

They’re not.

Menopause is natural. But struggling through it without support doesn’t have to be.

That’s why I’m committed to bringing products into my store that I personally research and try myself first—because if something helps me, there’s a good chance it can help another woman too.

Women deserve to feel comfortable in their bodies at every stage of life.

And yes—that includes feeling sexy.

A Message to Women Over 50

If you’re going through menopause and you’ve had moments where you felt like your body was betraying you, I want you to know something:

You’re not broken.

You’re evolving.

Your body may need different support now, but your sexuality, your femininity, and your confidence are still very much alive.

In fact, many women discover that their most confident, empowered years happen after 50.

Menopause isn’t the end of your story.

For many of us, it’s the moment we finally start writing the next chapter on our own terms.
